The prototype of the “Imperio” tram, made by the Astra Arad factory in Arad in collaboration with the prestigious German concern Siemens, was officially presented to the people of Arad through a walk on the newly modernized line between UTA Square and Roman Square. The wagon started at 10 o’clock in the morning from the UTA depot to “Boul Rosu”, and at 11 o’clock it made its triumphant entrance in the Revolution Square on fanfare music, where a short festive ceremony took place.
